My kids and I decided to rent a big nice room for new years so we could be comfy and celebrate and swim and just enjoy ourselves. This hotel and it's staff provided that for us with no issues. Pool is amazing, breakfast is amazing, and the 2 bedroom suite we got was fabulous!!! I definitely recommend staying here. Great prices as well!!!

They've got a dozen industrial fans running 24/7 on the first floor, not sure why but it looks temporary. My suite is a good size and the kitchen works. The TV in the bedroom has different channels than the one in the main room? Weird. Also no channel directory, so you have to just go up or down the channel list. The free breakfast is minimal and cheap. Decent looking pool and hot tub. Staff were friendly. Everything is clean. Very thin blanket on the bed though it was fine in warm weather. The website says parking is $10 but it's actually free. Seems like a good place for an inexpensive long term stay

Don’t do it..especially if you’re single. This location is next to an abandoned mall or conference center. The lighting was terrible and felt unsafe. The large dark parking lot of the mall was fair game for spinouts making a ton of noise. Although the lobby was clean and the room furniture seemed clean, other areas were beyond gross. The fridge in our room had stains on the front that were ..um..scary. Three of the cabinet doors in the kitchenette were broken, no utensils, no paper towels or towels, and just gross dirty. The bathroom light didn’t work. The AC made an awful racket like a semi truck was parked in our room so we turned it off. We asked to move rooms and they basically said the conditions wouldn’t improve so what was the point. As for morning breakfast, it was bagels and two warm dishes. You can see in the photo that the eggs were green. Yes, green!! So, we threw those away and went back to the room to pack & leave.. only to find we were locked out. The door lock malfunctioned and it took them 45 minutes to get us back into the room. I will say the maintenance person was very kind. Don’t be fooled by the promo photos on the page. You’re not getting a clean safe room with a fluffy ham sandwich for breakfast.

I had done a phone reservation completed and fully paid for with the help of Jenny days before my arrival in Oklahoma City, as I arrived I came to receive my room key and this one employee at the front desk who checked my reservation, started questioning my reservation price and why I had gotten it for a discounted price. He started interrogating me rudely to my face and insulting me by assuming I had some how gotten my reservation in a bad way, telling me no I can’t give you the room key even though I had reserved and stayed here multiple times previously with the same price with no problems. I have recently been in an accident and was very tired to stand and argue with this employee after an hour of explaining that I had a coupon and that it’s used for hotels by many people and by me before and accepted at this location previously. After he disregarded everything I had to say by raising his voice and being very rude I decided to just leave and go to another hotel. After making me a new reservation and obtaining a room at this other hotel, I got a call from said employee saying come back we fixed the issue and you can get your room with the discount you had. I was very upset and disappointed at the terrible customer service that they had, I have never before experienced such a problem anywhere before. I will make sure my friends and family all know about the situation and never reserve here again. How disappointing.

We always love staying at Marriott chains, we never have to worry about what we will be walking into. This place is a nightmare!!! Filthy as hell. Refrigerator looked like they pulled it out of the dump we didn't even touch it to open it because the outside was so dirty. We didn't sit on any of the furniture, was dirty and torn. I think Bathrooms in a gas station are cleaner than this one!!! Tub/shower was moldy and dirty and the shower curtain was moldy dirty and torn never looked and smelled like it hadn't been changed. This hotel is a dump and a total renovation or bulldozed down is a must...
From reading the reviews now I see nothing will be done to this place. All the responses are standard and the same.

Horrific Stay – This Hotel Should Be Kicked Out of the Marriott Bonvoy Network

My recent stay at the Residence Inn Oklahoma City South was an absolute nightmare and a disgrace to the Marriott Bonvoy brand. This property does not meet the standards one would expect from a Marriott-affiliated hotel, and in my opinion, it should be removed from the network entirely. Here’s why:

1. Location in an Abandoned Mall: This hotel is located in what appears to be an abandoned mall, which sets an eerie and uninviting tone from the start. The surrounding area feels unsafe and neglected.
2. False Advertising for Free Breakfast: The “free breakfast” was a complete joke. Staff purposely refilled items in tiny amounts, creating the illusion that everything had “run out.” It was clear they had no intention of actually providing a proper breakfast for their guests.
3. Extremely Outdated Property: The hotel looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 1990s. From the decor to the overall condition of the facilities, everything screamed neglect and mismanagement.
4. No Basic Amenities: There were no hangers in the room, no paper towels, and no tissue boxes—essentials you’d expect even at a budget motel, let alone a Marriott-branded property.
5. Unpleasant Hallways: The hallways were unbearable, with a wet, musty odor mixed with a strong smell of weed. It felt disgusting to walk through them.
6. Dirty and Sticky Room Conditions: The kitchen floor in the room was sticky and clearly had not been cleaned. The bathtub was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed in ages. To make matters worse, there was a broken drawer in the room, adding to the overall feeling of disrepair.
7. Questionable Security: We returned to find the windows in our room had been randomly opened while we were away. This left us feeling unsafe and extremely uncomfortable.
8. Water Issues and Potential Mold Concerns: The running water in this hotel smelled and tasted like mildew, which was deeply concerning. It made me question if there is a larger mold or water quality issue in the property. This alone should be a red flag for anyone considering staying here.

This property is far below Marriott’s standards and tarnishes the reputation of the Bonvoy network. The mismanagement and lack of care are evident in every aspect of this hotel. I strongly urge Marriott to reevaluate its affiliation with this property.

If you’re considering staying here, don’t. I would never recommend this place to anyone, even for a single night. Spend your money elsewhere for a safer, cleaner, and more professional experience. This hotel is a disgrace.

Avoid hotel unless you want a run down motel experience
I would highly recommend the Motel 6 next door compared to this Residence Inn. I travel often and always stay at Marriott's. This hotel charges Residence Inn prices but delivers a roach motel experience. Here were just a few issues with this hotel:

Bugs in room (have pictures to prove)
Walls cracked (have pictures to prove)
Toiletries missing in bathroom
Bagels were rock hard every day of the stay (5 breakfasts)
Apples were moldy each day and mushy
Food consistently "ran out" 40 minutes prior to breakfast ending
Basketball hoop missing the backboard (have pictures to prove)
Tennis net destroyed
Fridge was disgustingly dirty on the outside (have pictures to prove)
Had to kill bugs inside the fridge!
Carpet repair consisted of a square cut and sat over over damaged area and it wasn't secured

My parents room had the same issues PLUS a fridge that leaked water!

I really feel for the staff. The place is absolutely horrible but they are doing the best they can with owners who put no money in to the place (their words) and you can tell the moment you pull into the parking lot.

I'm sure Marriott won't address this with us. An absolute rip off and not worth a fraction of what we invested for a 5 night stay. So much for a Gold Elite experience. Avoid at all costs!

Opened consumables. Needles in fridge. Old food in fridge. Room smells like stale Cheetos. Obvious dilapidation. Seems franchise owner doesn't want to spend a dime on maintenance. Death trap for children. Didn't stay after inspection. No desire to meet the resident bed bugs.
