The Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel and Spa is a fantastic place to stay. It’s stylish, comfortable, and has everything you need for a relaxing visit.

The location is perfect, right by the Truckee River, with beautiful views and easy access to downtown Reno. You can walk to restaurants, shops, and attractions, which makes it super convenient.

The rooms are modern and clean, with comfy beds and all the little touches that make your stay special. The hotel has a spa where you can relax and treat yourself, plus a fitness center and other great amenities.

The staff is friendly and helpful, making sure you have everything you need. Whether it’s your first time in Reno or you’re a local enjoying a staycation, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome

This is our favorite hotel in Reno. Guest experience, service from their team and activities to offer are extraordinary. ||Daniel was exceptional this time, I shared that we were celebrating a promotion and he was able to give us an breathtaking room. Max at the restaurant was very attentive during our breakfast. ||Parking is very convenient, love their bar and bartenders, bocce courts available, this time we didn’t see it, but they usually have 5 min complimentary massages. ||Top!

Overall the hotel is nice. It’s a bit different than a number of the Marriott properties I’ve stayed before. The hotel was sold out so there were no upgrades available for elites so I can only speak to the standard room. The room was modern and I liked the fact that it did not have carpet. I need a lot of counter space in the bathroom so the lack of counter space in was a con. The valet guy was really nice - I wish I remembered his name! We had dinner at the bar in the restaurant and the small plates were really good but a little pricey. We needed to leave the hotel before 5 AM and were not aware that the valet service was not available until we went downstairs and the car had not been brought up even though we had requested it. Maybe it was written someplace but we were certainly not aware and planning for a little extra time. BTW there is not a casino in the hotel but I liked that part. All in all an ok stay.

I can’t say enough about the Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa – what an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, we felt like VIPs. The staff was beyond welcoming and attentive to every detail, making sure our stay was not only comfortable but genuinely memorable. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, and every encounter, from the front desk to housekeeping, radiated warmth and professionalism.

The amenities were fantastic too. The on-site spa was a treat, and the downtown location made exploring Reno super convenient. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful touches. We felt pampered the entire time – it was like staying in a luxury resort with a down-to-earth feel.

Overall, I’d highly recommend the Renaissance Reno for anyone looking to feel truly taken care of while enjoying a vibrant, central location. We can’t wait to come back for another stay!

I had an amazing stay at the R Hotel in Reno and can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. The guys at the front desk were fantastic, and it was a pleasure chatting with Ben about UNR – he really went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

The gentleman who checked us out on the morning of 1-18-2025 around 8:50 a.m. was incredibly pleasant and professional, even though I didn’t catch his name. His positive attitude really left a lasting impression on us.

The bar was a highlight too! We enjoyed some snacks and delicious lemon drops, and I have to say, the salmon tostadas were absolutely amazing. If you get the chance, definitely give them a try!

Our room was fantastic—spacious, clean, and comfortable. And Rafveet was so helpful, assisting us with our luggage into the Lyft. He was pleasant and professional!

Overall, the R Hotel delivered a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be back! Thanks to the whole team for making our stay memorable.

I had an excellent experience while visiting The Renaissance Hotel in Reno, NV. My entire time was amazing…The Shore restaurant and The Refuge Spa…However, I had the most exceptional service ever, with the valet service during my stay. Caleb(a hardworking, young man) was incredibly professional, courteous, and efficient. From the moment I arrived, Caleb made sure my vehicle was taken care of and returned promptly whenever I needed it. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail really stood out. I have traveled more than I want to discuss, and deal with the service industry quite often. I have never taken the time to write a review, but I could not pass up the opportunity to brag on this young man. It's clear he takes pride in his work, and it made my stay all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend the valet service, especially Caleb, at this hotel!

I've had two one night stays here in the last six months and found this to be a well situated in modern property on the banks of the Truckee River. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, casinos are reasonable walk as well if that's your thing.||Interior decor is very unique; not the typically sterile setting of many newer chain hotels. They have a patio outside the restaurant right along the bar, which makes for a nice setting, whether catching up on work or with friends after dinner. So large interior bocce ball and gaming area, though it was closed on both my visits.||Nicely sized and functional rooms, with good water pressure even on the top floor. Far too many Marriott properties are yet to reopen their concierge lounges, but this was accessible 24 seven and had a great breakfast set up. ||Only negative notes were that trying to connect to Wi-Fi in some parts of the hotel just didn't seem to work. Well, I had no problem on my laptop, several of us had challenges connecting on our phones. And well plenty of water and soda is available for the taking in the lounge, I didn't find anywhen I walked inside my room. However, I definitely stay again if the tariff is reasonable.

Raf from valet was great! He was very polite and kind. He brought our vehicle very quickly. All of the valet attendants were nice and wanted to help us as swiftly as possible. Raf even went to close my car door when he saw I couldn't reach it, I had already shut it but I definitely noticed his attentiveness.
