If you want to pay $250-300 a month in electric for a 700 sq ft. apartment, this is the company for you. Nobody could explain to me why my bill was so high. Got a bill after I moved out for $354 when nothing was plugged in and all lights were turned off. Moved to a 2 story house using a different company and my bill was only $120. AEP is a joke and you will overpay and have to deal with it.

Absolutely horrible!!!!! our first month of staying at our new place the bill was $729.00 how is that possible? A year later we just now paid it off... We are more at work then being at home..... it's sad that it's winter an we can't even turn our heat on. I swear they gave us the person that use to live here their bill......

I have had several places in different counties but this one is by far the worst one. The rates are absolutely ridiculous my bill is over $100 every month and I’m only home one day a week. I’m moving from my area just because of them. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS

Impossible to report an outage. Only get automated system and unable to report that there are downed lines and tree blocking me in.

They shut off my electricity. Bill is paid up. They said they sent several notices through ups...never received one...cause it had to be changed out of the "deceased" name.
So they just shut it off.
Without electricity...we have no heat.

With a disabled child in the home AEP could not verify when the “local crew” would be installing a meter on the side of the house!! I have spent over 10k getting things up to date with permits and all. They are quick to take your money but slow to help you! What a joke of a power supply company!!!! If I could get a different source for electricity I would in a heart beat!! So unprofessional and slow to help In Any way possible! Absolutely disgusted!!

I don't know how they get away with this but AEP took the liberty of enrolling me in paperless billing. I got a paper bill for $490 when I didn't pay for 4 months. They don't even have my email address to send me the bill! The best part about is I have to go to their website to un-enroll!! This is the second time this has happened!!! I called them up (waited impatiently) and the guy tells me, "I see you've enrolled in paperless billing". NO I DIDN'T! Where is the Attorney General?

0 stars if possible. Transformer went out. They got power up for the small business immediately. Left 60 residents without power long enough to spoil the food in 60 refrigerators. 60 fridges x $200 in food = $12,000 in lost perishables. My neighbor just told me he's going to have to borrow money for food. Do better AEP this is not acceptable.
